# Adding Merge Blocks

You can add {{variable.mergeblocks}} to any {{variable.documenttemplate}} in a few clicks. 

Like {{variable.mergefields}}, {{variable.mergeblocks}} let you include {{variable.customer}}-specific information in your {{variable.documenttemplates}} by pulling data from your Nexudus account. 

{{variable.MergeBlocks_CAP}} list **all** the records associated with a specific field in your account. 

*For example, generate an inventory list of all the {{variable.assets}} assigned to a {{variable.customer}}.*

Use [{{variable.mergefields}}](/docs/adding-merge-fields){target=`_blank`} to pull unique records, such as a customer's name, email, or address.

2. {{variable.CLICK}} {{variable.DocumentTemplates_Link}}.
3. {{variable.CLICK}} the {{variable.documenttemplate}} you want to edit. 
4. {{variable.CLICK}} **Launch editor**.

*The template editor opens in another browser tab. Your document can take a few seconds to load.*

5. {{variable.CLICK}} where you want to add the {{variable.mergeblock}} in your {{variable.documenttemplate}}. 
6. {{variable.CLICK}} the **Data** tab. 
7. {{variable.CLICK}} **Insert Merge Block**.
8. {{variable.SELECT}} the relevant {{variable.mergeblock}} from the list. 
9. {{variable.SELECT}} the **table columns** you'd like to insert. 
10. Click **OK**. 
11. Once you're happy with your document, click on the **File** tab.
