Adding Merge Fields

You can add dynamic fields to any document template. Dynamic fields, also called merge fields, let you include customer-specific information in your document templates by leveraging data in your Nexudus account.

For example, including the salutation dynamic field will automatically pull the name in the Salutation field of the customer receiving the document.


  1. Log in to dashboard.nexudus.com if you aren't already.

  2. Click the document template you want to edit.

  3. Click Launch editor.

The template editor opens another browser tab. Your document can take a few seconds to load.

  1. Click where you want to add the dynamic field in your document template.
  2. Click the Data tab.
  3. Click Insert Merge Field.
  4. Select the relevant merge field from the list.

Repeat the process of clicking where you want to add a merge field and then selecting the relevant merge field from the list.

  1. Once you've added all your merge fields, click on the File tab.
  2. Click the Save button. 


You can close the editor tab and start using your document template on the Admin Panel.

Make sure you test the template with a mock proposal to see if all the dynamic fields display the right information.
