Adding Resource Types

Resource types are a required field for all resources in your inventory. Resource types let you apply the same prices to all resources sharing the same type. Resource types act as pricing templates that you can edit and expand through each resource's Rates tab.

For example, if you have 5 meeting rooms that you want to price in the same way, the easiest way to manage their pricing is to create a single resource type and assign this type to all 5 resources. If you ever decide to add a new rate, this setup allows you to add the rate once to one of the 5 meeting rooms and see it apply to the other 4 instantly.

1. Log in to dashboard.nexudus.com if you aren't already.

2. Click Inventory > Resource type.

3. Click Add resource type.

4. Name your resource type.

5. Click the Save Changes button.

Repeat the process for every other resource type you want to create. Once you have all your resource type ready, you'll need to assign them to your new or existing resources.

You can do that by selecting the relevant resource type under the Resource details section of any new or existing resource.
