# Allowing Plan Freezing

You can  give your {{variable.customers}} the option to freeze their {{variable.floorplan}} from the {{variable.MembersPortal}} in a few clicks {{variable.OnTheAdminPanel}}.

*For example, allow members to freeze their plan for up to 3 month, once a year.*

:::(Info) (All admins who can edit contracts  can freeze a plan at any time.)
You don't need to allow plan freezing if you only want admins to be able to freeze plans.

3. {{variable.CLICK_ON}} the relevant plan.
4. {{variable.CLICK_ON}} the **Limits** tab.
5. {{variable.TOGGLE_ON}} **Customers in this plan can freeze their plan from the portal or the app**.
6. {{variable.DEFINE}} the number of **Pauses a year** and **Cycles per freeze** you want to allow.
> **Pauses a year and Cycles per freeze are linked settings**
> *For example, if you want to allow up to 3 months in a year, but no more than 1 month at a time, make sure Pauses a year is set to 3 and Cycles per freeze is set to 1.*

All set! {{variable.Customers_CAP}} signed up to this {{variable.plan}} can now [freeze it from the {{variable.MembersPortal}}](/docs/freezing-contracts-as-a-member){target=`_blank`} within the limits you've defined. Repeat the process for every other relevant plan.
