# Archiving Customers

You can archive {{variable.customers}} in a few clicks {{variable.OnTheAdminPanel}}. Archiving is an alternative to deleting {{variable.customers}} if you want to: 

* **Hide inactive {{variable.customers}}**
*Clean up your {{variable.customer}} list quickly while retaining their account in case they decide to join your space again.*

* **Keep an audit trail**
*You want to retain files such as signed {{variable.contracts}} or agreements you have linked to these {{variable.customers}}.*

*For example, you have {{variable.customers}} that use your space for a few months and then leave for long periods of time before returning. Archiving them is a quick and simple way to remove them from day-to-day listings while allowing you to easily restore their account when they do come back.*

:::(Warning) (Archiving {{variable.customers}}: )

* Suspends their account in {{variable.Nexudus}}
* Removes their access to the {{variable.MembersPortal}}
* Suspends any active {{variable.contract}} they have
* Removes them from all listings
* Removes their data from all {{variable.reports}}

Archived customers remain visible in the [global search](/docs/searching-records){target=`_blank`}.

All set! The selected {{variable.customers}} are now archived. You can [restore them](/docs/restoring-customers){target=`_blank`} at any point in a few clicks.

You can easily get a list of all the {{variable.customers}} you've archived using the **{{variable.Views_CAP}}** menu.
