# Cancelling Events
You can cancel any {{variable.event}} from the **Community** section of the {{variable.AdminPanel}}.
:::(Error) (Cancelling an event issues a credit note to {{variable.customers}} for the amount of their tickets.)
If you want to **refund {{variable.customers}}** to their original method of payment, you'll need to **cancel the tickets** before **cancelling the event**.

:::(Warning) (Cancelling an event permanently deletes event attendees.)

Cancelling an event also removes it from the {{variable.MembersPortal}} and {{variable.Passport}}.
You can cancel events [individually](/v3/docs/cancelling-events-1#cancelling-events-individually) or [in bulk](/v3/docs/cancelling-events-1#cancelling-events-in-bulk).
## Cancelling events individually
You can cancel an event in just a few clicks from the {{variable.AdminPanel}}.
*For example, you need to cancel your outdoor networking event due to bad weather.*

3. {{variable.CLICK_ON}} the event you'd like to cancel.
4. {{variable.CLICK}} **More actions**.
5. {{variable.SELECT}} **Cancel event**.

All set! Your event is now cancelled.
Event attendees will be removed from the event and receive an email notification about the cancellation.
They'll automatically receive a credit for the amount of their ticket, which will be used to discount their next invoice.
The event remains visible {{variable.OnTheAdminPanel}}, and you can [edit](/v3/docs/editing-events){target=`_blank`} or [republish](/v3/docs/publishing-events){target=`_blank`} it at any time.
## Cancelling events in bulk
You can cancel multiple events at once in just a few clicks from the {{variable.AdminPanel}}.
*For example, your space has to unexpectedly close for renovations over the next few weeks.*
