# Checking in with NexBoard

{{variable.Customers_CAP}} can manage their {{variable.bookings}} with a few taps on {{variable.NexBoard}}. They can [check in](/v3/docs/checking-in-with-nexboard#checking-into-a-booking) to their {{variable.booking}}, [extend](/v3/docs/checking-in-with-nexboard#extending-a-booking) their {{variable.booking}}, or [end](/v3/docs/checking-in-with-nexboard#ending-a-booking-early) their {{variable.booking}} early. 

:::(Info) ({{variable.Customers_CAP}} can't edit or cancel their {{variable.bookings}} from {{variable.NexBoard}}.)
They'll need to use the {{variable.MembersPortal}} or {{variable.Passport}}.

## Checking in to a Booking
{{variable.Customers_CAP}} can easily check in to {{variable.NexBoard}} with a few taps. 

:::(Info) ({{variable.Customers_CAP}} can check in up to 15 minutes before their {{variable.booking}}.)
They'll be automatically checked in if they make the {{variable.booking}} less than 15 minutes in advance.

1. **Wake up** {{variable.NexBoard}}.
2. {{variable.TAP}} **Check in**.
3. {{variable.SELECT}} your booking. 
4. {{variable.TAP}} **Check in** again.

All set! You've successfully checked in to your {{variable.booking}}. 

## Extending a Booking 
Customers can easily extend their {{variable.bookings}} with a few taps on the tablet. 

:::(Warning) ({{variable.Customers_CAP}} can't extend {{variable.bookings}} that have already been invoiced.)

1. **Wake up** {{variable.NexBoard}}. 
2. {{variable.TAP}} **Extend booking**. 
3. {{variable.SELECT}} your booking.
4. {{variable.TAP}} **Extend**.
5. Select a Quick Book time or **Manually select date and time**.
6. Enter the username and password you use to log in to the {{variable.MembersPortal}}. 
7. Confirm or select the time you want to extend. 
8. Click **Confirm**.

All set! You'll receive a confirmation email for your extended booking. It may take a few moments for {{variable.NexBoard}} to display the updated times. 

## Ending a Booking Early 
Customers easily end their bookings early with a few taps on the tablet. The booking end time will be rounded to the next quarter-hour. 

:::(Info) (Ending bookings early <u>never triggers any refunds</u>.)
It simply releases the resource for other customers to use.

1. **Wake up** {{variable.NexBoard}}. 
2. {{variable.TAP}} **End current.**
3. {{variable.SELECT}} your booking.
4. {{variable.TAP}} **Confirm**. 
5. Open your email. 
4. Click the link to confirm you'd like to end your booking early.

All set! You'll be redirected to the Member's Portal. You can find your amended {{variable.booking}} time under **Upcoming bookings**.
