# Copying Roles

You can easily copy any of your existing roles. Copying roles is useful if you want to create multiple roles with very similar permissions, saving yourself some time.

*For example, all your restricted admins need the same core permissions. You can create a role with those core permissions and then copy it. You can then rename and add extra permissions to each copy without starting from scratch each time.*

1. Log in to [dashboard.nexudus.com](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/) if you aren't already.
2. Click [**Settings > Roles**](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/settings/6/2/0).
3. Click on the three dots icon next to the role you want to copy.
4. Click on **Make a copy**.
5. Click **Yes, do it** to confirm.

Your role is now copied. You can click on the copy and edit its name and permissions as needed.
