# Creating Accounts for Developers

In order for developers to edit your Members Portal web template files, they need an admin user account.

You can easily create a user for developers using one of our handy template roles. You first need to [create the admin users](/v3/docs/adding-admin-in-nexudus) for the developers and then create the developer role using the template as detailed below.

---

1. Log in to [dashboard.nexudus.com](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/) if you aren't already.
2. Click [**Settings > Roles**](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/settings/6/1/0/).
3. Click **Add role**.
4. Name your role.
5. Select the users who should be assigned this role.
6. Tick the **Dashboard** and **Web developer** checkboxes.

This role includes the minimum permissions required for developers to access and edit the template files.

You can easily expand this role to give these users additional permissions based on the access they need.

1. Click the **Save Changes** button.

---

All set! The selected users should now be able to log in to the Admin Panel and start editing your Members Portal through the [Web Templates Editor](/v3/docs/web-templates-editor-settings).
