# Data Visibility Settings

Data visibility settings let you control whether or not the following records are displayed on your {{variable.MembersPortal}}s:

* [**Articles**](/v3/docs/articles){target="_blank"}
* [**{{variable.Resources_CAP}}**](/v3/docs/resources){target="_blank"}
* [**{{variable.Events_CAP}}**](/v3/docs/events){target="_blank"}
* [**{{variable.FAQarticles}}**](/v3/docs/faq-articles){target="_blank"}
* [**{{variable.Perks_CAP}}**](/v3/docs/perks){target="_blank"}
* [**{{variable.Products_CAP}}**](/v3/docs/products){target="_blank"}

You should define this visibility in each location within your network and subnetwork.

:::(Info) (Don't manage a network or more than one {{variable.location}}?)
No need to worry about these settings as they only affect multi{{cariable.locations}} and/or networks.
:::

## Changing data visibility

You can easily change the visibility of the records in each of your {{variable.locations}}. You can choose from one of the following options for each type of record:

{{snippet.DataVisibility_List}}

* * *

1. {{snippet.FirstStepProcedure}}
2. {{snippet.WebsiteSettings_Path}}
3. Click on the **Access** tab and scroll down to the **Data Visibility** section.
4. Click on the **Visibility** {{variable.dropdownlist}} of each record and select the visibility option you want to apply.
5. {{snippet.Save_Settings}}

* * *
All set! You've defined the data visibility settings in your {{variable.location}}. You'll need to repeat this process for every other {{variable.location}} in your network.
