# Deactivating Discounts Codes

You can deactivate discount codes via the **Finance** section of the Admin Panel. Deactivating your discount codes is an alternative to [deleting them](/v3/docs/deleting-discount-codes).

Inactive discounts can't be used, but you get to keep their record and can reactivate them at any point.

1. Log in to [dashboard.nexudus.com](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/) if you aren't already.
2. Click **Finance > Discount Codes**.
3. Click on the discount code you want to deactivate.
4. Disable the **This discount is active** toggle.
5. Click the **Save Changes** button.

Your discount code is now inactive. Customers and admins won't be able to use the discount until you reactivate it.
