# Deleting Tax Rates

You can delete tax rates from the **Settings** section of the {{variable.AdminPanel}}.

Consider [exporting your tax rates](/v3/docs/exporting-tax-rates){target="_blank"}  before deleting them to keep a record.

You've successfully deleted the selected tax rates. 
:::(error) (Couldn't delete your tax rates?)
The tax rates you're trying to delete are probably still linked to one or several inventory items. Click on the **Chart** tab and go through all the listed items, making sure none of them is still linked to the tax rates you want to delete.
