# Editing the Default Tax Rate

Nexudus can apply a default tax rate to all invoiced items that don't have a custom tax rate assigned to them. You can edit this default rate at any point on the Admin Panel

          This tax rate is only available if your invoices are set to include taxes.

1. Log in to [dashboard.nexudus.com](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/) if you aren't already.
2. Click [**Settings > Invoices and tax > Tax**](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/settings/1/0/5).
3. Edit the **Default tax rate** in the *Tax settings* section.
4. Click **Save settings**.

All set! Your new default tax rate is now live. Invoices issued using the previous default tax rate won't be updated. You still can [manually edit the tax rate](/v3/docs/editing-invoice-tax-rates) of any unpaid or due invoice.
