# Editing the Default Tax Rate

Nexudus can apply a default tax rate to all invoiced items that don't have a custom tax rate assigned to them. You can edit this default rate at any point on the {{variable.AdminPanel}}

3. Edit the **Default tax rate** in the *Tax settings* section.
4. {{snippet.Save_Settings}}

All set! Your new default tax rate is now live. Invoices issued using the previous default tax rate won't be updated. You still can [manually edit the tax rate](/v3/docs/editing-invoice-tax-rates){target="_blank"} of any unpaid or due invoice.
