# Editing Invoice Tax Rates

You can edit the tax rate applied to any **unpaid** or **due** invoice. Editing tax rates on unpaid and due invoices is a manual process that you need to repeat for each individual item on the invoice. 
:::(Error) (You cannot edit tax rates on <u>paid</u> invoices.)

2. {{variable.CLICK}} {{variable.Invoices_Link}}.
4. {{variable.CLICK_ON}} the invoice you want to edit
5. {{variable.CLICK_ON}} the pencil icon next to the first invoice item you want to edit.

5. Select a different rate from the **Tax Rate** drop-down list.

Repeat the process for every invoice item that needs a different tax rate.
