# Event Waiting Lists 

## What Are {{variable.EventWaitingLists_CAPS}}?
{{variable.EventWaitingLists_CAP}} let you manage tickets for your popular {{variable.events}}, removing the need to manually track interest and cancelations.

When an {{variable.event}} has this option enabled, your {{variable.customers}} can join the event's {{variable.waitinglist}} and receive an email notification as soon as you release more tickets or other {{variable.customers}} cancel their ticket purchases.

 The notification {{variable.customers}} on the waiting list receive includes a link to purchase the newly available tickets.

{{variable.Customers_CAP}} who purchase these tickets are automatically removed from the {{variable.waitinglist}}. 

## How {{variable.EventWaitingLists_CAPS}} Work

You can enable {{variable.waitinglists}} for any {{variable.event}} that has at least one type of ticket published on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}. Enabling the {{variable.waitinglist}} only takes a few clicks from any existing {{variable.event}} {{variable.OnTheAdminPanel}}.

Once the {{variable.waitinglist}} is enabled for the {{variable.event}}, any {{variable.customer}} who wants to buy tickets for the {{variable.event}} has the option to join the {{variable.waitinglists}} from the {{variable.event}}'s page {{variable.MembersPortal}}. 


## FAQ

## Do waiting lists work if my {{variable.event}} tickets are free? 
Yes, {{variable.waitinglist}} work for any {{variable.event}} with a limited number of tickets, regardless of their price. 

## Is there a {{variable.waitinglist}} order based on who joined the list first? 
No, as soon as tickets for an {{variable.event}} become available again or you send a {{variable.waitinglist}} notification, all {{variable.customers}} on the list receive an email notification. The first {{variable.customers}} to complete their purchase get the tickets.
