# Integrating MercadoPago

## What you need to integrate Mercado Pago

### Access token from MercadoPago

You need to obtain your Access Token from your Mercado Pago account.This Access Token is provided by Mercado Pago and is required to process transactions.

1. Go to the [Mercado Pago Developer Portal](https://www.mercadopago.com.ar/developers/en/docs/your-integrations/credentials).
2. Log in to your Mercado Pago account.
3. Navigate to the API Credentials section.
4. Copy your Access Token.

*The access token usually follows this format — APP_USR-XXXXXXXXX*

## Integrating Mercado Pago

1. Log in to [dashboard.nexudus.com](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/) if you aren't already.
2. Click [**Settings > Payments and currency > Payment methods**](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/settings/1/1/2).
3. Search for **Mercado Pago** under **Available payment methods**.
4. Click on the **Mercado Pago** tile.
5. Fill out the **Transaction fee** section if you want to charge customers for using this payment method.
6. Indicate your country of location using the corresponding two-letter country code:

**Argentina** - AR **Brazil** - BR **Chile** - CL **Colombia** - CO **Mexico** - MX **Peru** - PE **Uruguay** - UY

1. Enter your **Access Token** from Mercado Pago.
2. Click the **Save Changes** button.

Your integration is now ready! Customers will be able to pay for services and memberships using Mercado Pago.

## Payment processing requirements

To process payments successfully with Mercado Pago in all supported countries **except Mexico**, the customer’s **Tax ID Number** or **Número de IVA / NIF** must be in their Nexudus record to be included with every payment. Transactions **will not be approved** without this ID.
