# Integrating Paxton NET2

## What you need to integrate {{variable.PaxtonNET2}}
You need a {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} account and the following items to integrate. 

* ### Your {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} username, password, server IP, and client ID
You can find these details in your {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} account or ask your {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} representative to get those details for you. 



* ### Passes, resources, and floor plan items in Nexudus 
    
The integration works by connecting {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} access groups to passes, resources, desks, and offices in {{variable.Nexudus}}. You don't have to connect access groups to every single type of item in {{variable.Nexudus}}. It is important to have these items set up in your {{variable.space}} prior to the integration. ## Integrating {{variable.PaxtonNET2}}

1. {{snippet.FirstStepProcedure}}
2. {{variable.CLICK}} {{variable.PaxtonNET2_Link}}.
3. {{variable.TOGGLE_ON}} the **{{variable.PaxtonNET2}} integration**.
4. {{variable.ADD}} the following details from your {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} account: 

     - **{{variable.PaxtonNET2}} username**
     - **{{variable.PaxtonNET2}} password**
     - **{{variable.PaxtonNET2}} Server ID**
*The format will usually be https://PUBLIC_IP:8443. You need to open and forward port 8443 to your local {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} instance on your firewall.*
     - **{{variable.PaxtonNET2}} Client ID**
*After installing your licence file, you should restart the Net2 Service to enable the Client ID. The name of the file is your ClientID which you'll use for authentication.*

5. {{snippet.Save_Changes}}

Several new sections should now be visible under the integration form. Each section is designed to let you match your {{variable.PaxtonNET2}} access groups to the relevant passes, desks, offices, and resources in {{variable.Nexudus}}.

Once you've mapped all the locks to the relevant Nexudus items, **don't forget to save your changes**.
