# Adding Events

You can create in-person and virtual {{variable.events}} in a few clicks {{variable.OnTheAdminPanel}}.

## Adding In-person {{variable.Events_CAP}}
Physical {{variable.events}} are simply {{variable.events}} taking place somewhere in your {{variable.space}}.
1. {{snippet.FirstStepProcedure}}

2. {{variable.CLICK}} {{variable.EventsCalendar_Link}}.
3. {{variable.CLICK}} **{{variable.ADD}} {{variable.event}}**.
4. {{variable.NAME}} your {{variable.event}}.
5. {{variable.SELECT}} a {{variable.location}} for your {{variable.event}}.
If you select your network {{variable.location}}, all {{variable.locations}} will display the {{variable.event}}.
6. {{variable.SELECT}} an {{variable.event}} **Category** from the {{variable.dropdownlist}}.
7. {{variable.SELECT}} the {{variable.event}}'s **Start / end dates**.
8. {{variable.SELECT}} the {{variable.customer}} groups who are able to attend the {{variable.event}} from the **Make this {{variable.event}} available to** list.

*You have the option to make the {{variable.event}} available to:*
* **all {{variable.customers}}**
* **only {{variable.contacts}}**
* **only {{variable.members}}**
* {{variable.members}} with **specific plans**
* members of **specific teams**
* **specific {{variable.customers}}**

:::(warning) (If you make this {{variable.event}} only available to {{variable.members}}, they won't appear in your {{variable.events}} iCal feed. )
:::
9. {{variable.ADD}} a short and a long description for the {{variable.event}}.

***Event summary** is visible under the {{variable.event}} name on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.
**Event full description** is visible when a {{variable.customer}} clicks on the {{variable.event}} in the {{variable.MembersPortal}}*.

10. {{variable.CLICK}} **Select file** and select an image from your device if you want the {{variable.event}} to have an image on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.

{{snippet.ImageSizeFormat_Info}}

***Large image** - displayed on the {{variable.events}} list and on the {{variable.event}}'s details page
**Small image** - displayed in the related {{variable.events}} section of your {{variable.event}} is part of the same category as another*

11. {{variable.SELECT}} a date for your {{variable.event}} to be published on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.
12. {{variable.TOGGLE_ON}} all the publishing settings you need.
13.   {{variable.ADD}} a venue address and a venue {{variable.location}} in the **{{variable.Location_CAP}}** section.

*This helps attendees know where they should go.*

14. {{variable.SELECT}} a {{variable.resource}} from the **Resource** {{variable.dropdownlist}} if you want to link the {{variable.event}} to one of your {{variable.resources}}.

*The selected {{variable.resource}} will automatically become unavailable for {{variable.bookings}} for the entire duration of the {{variable.event}}.*

15. {{variable.SELECT}} if the {{variable.event}} will be repeated more than once.
16.  {{snippet.Save}}

You can now [add tickets](/v3/docs/adding-event-tickets){target="_blank"} for your {{variable.event}}.

## Adding Virtual {{variable.Events_CAP}}
You can also create virtual {{variable.events}} that don't need to take place in your {{variable.space}}.

:::(error) (You need to enable [Zoom](/v3/docs/zoom){target="_blank"} in your {{variable.location}} to create virtual {{variable.events}}.)
:::

1. {{snippet.FirstStepProcedure}}

3. {{variable.CLICK}} **{{variable.ADD}} Event**.
4. {{variable.NAME}} your {{variable.event}}.
5. {{variable.SELECT}} a {{variable.location}} for your {{variable.event}}.
If you select your network {{variable.location}}, all {{variable.locations}} will display the {{variable.event}}.

7. {{variable.SELECT}} the {{variable.customer}} groups who are able to attend the {{variable.event}} from the **Make this {{variable.event}} available to** list.

9. {{variable.CLICK}} **Select file** and select an image from your device if you want the {{variable.event}} to have an image on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.

*Bear in mind that the main host and panelists details are managed directly from your Zoom account.*

14. Add alternative hosts to the Zoom {{variable.event}}.

*Alternative hosts are able to start the conference call or the webinar on your behalf. If you don't add any alternative host, you will need to start the Zoom {{variable.event}}.*

15.  {{snippet.Save}}
