# Pay As You Go Passes

## What are Pay As You Go Passes?
**P**ay **A**s **Y**ou **G**o (**{{variable.PAYG}}**) {{variable.passes}} allow {{variable.customers}} to check in to your space when they don't have a valid {{variable.pass}} in their account.

:::(Info) ({{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.passes}} are sold on their own automatically and cannot be added to {{variable.products}} or {{variable.plans}}.)
:::

{{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.passes}} charge {{variable.customers}} in 15-minute increments based on a set hourly price. You can sell {{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.passes}} to {{variable.members}} and {{variable.contacts}} at different price points and even set custom rates for {{variable.members}} of specific {{variable.plans}}. You can also set a daily cap for your {{variable.PAYG}} pricing.

*For example, you can set up a {{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.pass}} that's priced at $10/hour for {{variable.members}} and another {{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.pass}} that's priced at $15/hour for {{variable.contacts}} with a $100 daily cap for both.*

:::(Warning) ({{variable.Customers_CAP}} will not be notified that they are being charged for a {{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.pass}} when checking in without a valid {{variable.day}} or {{variable.time}} {{variable.pass}}.)
For this reason, it's important to communicate your {{variable.PAYG}} policy and pricing to {{variable.customers}} as well as to set a daily cap for {{variable.PAYG}} charges.
:::

Before creating a {{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.pass}}, you must first [enable {{variable.PAYG}} {{variable.passes}}](enabling-pay-as-you-go-passes){target="_blank"} in your **Check-in Settings** on the {{variable.AdminPanel}}.
