# Paypal

Trying to process payments by redirecting customers to PayPal?

          

Set up [Paypal Standard](/v3/docs/paypal-standard) instead.

The payment method detailed below requires a professional Paypal account. It acts as a white-label payment gateway where customers won't see any Paypal branding when they check out.

## What Is PayPal?

PayPal is a card payment method that lets you automatically process customer payments will be able to pay their invoices from the Members Portal using PayPal. Customers on Paypal account to use this payment method. When customers click on this payment option, they're prompted to add their card details to go through the checkout process on the Members Portal.

## What You Need to Enable PayPal

### A PayPal for Business Account

You need a PayPal for Business account to process and receive customer payments through this gateway. Your PayPal for Business account must be set up and live.

### A PayPal Signature

You also need to get your PayPal signature to let Nexudus connect to your PayPal account.

PayPal provides a detailed tutorial on [how to request an API signature](https://www.paypal.com/uk/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-request-api-signature-or-certificate-credentials-for-my-paypal-account-faq3196).

Once you have your signature, you are ready to enable PayPal on the Admin Panel.

## Enabling Paypal

1. Log in to [dashboard.nexudus.com](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/) if you aren't already.
2. Click [**Settings > Payments and currency > Payment methods**](https://dashboard.nexudus.com/settings/1/1/2).
3. Click on **PayPal**.
4. Add a **Payment gateway name**.
5. Fill out the **Transaction fee** section if you want to surcharge customers for using this card payment method.

          Always check your local laws and regulations before implementing transaction fees.

          

Surcharging customers for using a card payment method is prohibited in most european countries, including the United Kingdom.

1. Add your PayPal email and password in the **Login** and **Password** fields.
2. Add your PayPal signature in the **Signature** field.
3. Click the **Save Changes** button.
