# Perks

## What are {{variable.Perks_CAP}}? 
{{variable.Perks_CAP}} let you offer discounts, free trials or items, and benefits to your {{variable.customers}} in partnership with other businesses.

*For example, offering 50% off a car rental service or a free hot drink at a nearby cafe.*

{{variable.Perks_CAP}} can be any type of discount, trial, or benefit that you negotiated with another business. They're a great way to promote local businesses and build community. 

{{variable.Perks_CAP}} are also a nifty {{variable.customer}} retention tool — most people appreciate discounts, especially on brands and services that they already like or need. 

## How {{variable.Perks_CAP}}  Work
You first need to reach an agreement with another business. It can be as easy as getting a referral link or {{variable.discountcode}} from a nearby small business. You can also reach out to larger brands to negotiate bigger {{variable.perks}} for your {{variable.customers}}.


Once you have an idea of how you want to offer the {{variable.perk}} to {{variable.customers}}, all you need to do is [create the perk](https://help.nexudus.com/v3/docs/adding-perks){target="_blank"} on the {{variable.AdminPanel}}. You can limit {{variable.perks}} to contacts or members only. 


As soon as you publish the {{variable.perk}}, your {{variable.customers}} can see it on the {{variable.MembersPortal}} and click on the {{variable.Claim_Button}} button to use the {{variable.perk}}.
