# Plan Enquiries on Members Portal 5

## What are Plan Enquiries?
Plan enquiries let potential {{variable.customers}} express interest in a specific {{variable.plan}} before officially signing up. 

## How Plan Enquiries Work
Potential {{variable.customers}} browsing the [{{variable.Plans_CAP}} section](/v3/docs/plans-on-members-portal-5){target=`_blank`} can click a link to enquire about a specific {{variable.plan}}.

They'll be taken to a form where they can fill in their information and optionally book a tour. Once they've submitted their enquiry, {{variable.Nexudus}} will automatically generate a [{{variable.proposal}}](/v3/docs/proposals){target=`_blank`} and a [contact](/v3/docs/customers##contacts){target=`_blank`} based on the information they've provided. 

Whenever a plan enquiry is submitted, you'll receive an email notification from {{variable.Nexudus}} with a link to the auto-generated {{variable.proposal}}. 

You can also get the potential {{variable.customer}}'s information from their {{variable.contact}} record and reach out to discuss their interest. The potential {{variable.customer}} **won't hear anything from {{variable.Nexudus}}** until you reach out to them. 

## Setting up Plan Enquiries
Plan enquiries aren't available by default. You'll need to **enable the plan enquiries section** on the {{variable.AdminPanel}}.

When you enable plan enquiries, you'll also need to **define settings** such as:

* Which plans are available for enquiries
* Whether {{variable.customers}} can request a tour
* If {{variable.customers}} can also purchase {{variable.plans}} directly from the {{variable.MembersPortal}}
