# Plans on Members Portal 5

## What are plans?
The **Plans** section of the {{variable.MembersPortal}} lets {{variable.customers}} browse and sign up to memberships in your space.  

**Plans** in Nexudus are memberships or subscriptions to your space. They usually include **benefits** such as day {{variable.passes}} or {{variable.timecredits}} that allow {{variable.members}} to access and book {{variable.resources}} in your space.

## How the plans section works
You can make any {{variable.plans}} you offer available on the {{variable.MembersPortal}} for {{variable.customers}} to purchase. 

{{variable.Customers_CAP}} can browse {{variable.plans}} by {{variable.plan}} **kinds**. Once {{variable.customers}} have chosen a {{variable.plan}} they like, they can [sign up](/v3/docs/joining-plans){target=`_blank`} directly on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}. 

If they'd like more information before signing up, they can also [make a {{variable.plan}} enquiry](/v3/docs/enquiring-about-plans){target=`_blank`}. 

The {{variable.Plans_CAP}} section is available by default on the {{variable.MembersPortal}} as long as you have at least one published {{variable.plan}}. You can disable the {{variable.plans}} section by unpublishing all of your {{variable.plans}} from the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.

You can customize certain settings such as what information you collect from {{variable.customers}} when they sign up and how {{variable.plans}} are grouped on the portal. 

## Setting up the plans section

We recommend treating these steps as an **audit** for your space. You can also make sure you're taking advantage of all the **new features** added in Version 5.

Setting up your **{{variable.Plans_CAP}}** section on the Members Portal is a simple two-step process. 

First, you can **customize your {{variable.plan}} sign-up form**. The sign-up form controls what information you collect from {{variable.customers}} when they sign up to a {{variable.plan}}. 

Then, you can **publish {{variable.plans}}** on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.
