# ✨ Revamped Global Search

📆 Available from January 20th 2025.

Search once, search everything! We've redesigned [global search](/docs/searching-records) to let you find what you need in a flash. Type what you're looking for, from an invoice number to a note added to a customer, and it'll automatically scan your entire account to find the information you need.

If your search is a bit broader you can filter it by location, item type, and creation time in a click.

          Use the shortcuts Ctrl + K (Windows) or Cmd + K (Mac) to instantly open the search.

          

          Search results are limited for admins with roles.

          

Full unrestricted admins can see all results by default, while other admins can only see results permitted by their role.
