# Setting up Products on Members Portal 5
The Store is **enabled** as long as you have at least one {{variable.product}} published on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}. To disable the Store, you'll need to make sure you don't have any published {{variable.products}} on the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.

If you want to sell {{variable.products}} in the Store, you'll need to **define your payment settings**. Then you can **publish products**.

We recommend treating these steps as an audit for your space. You can also make sure you're taking advantage of all the new features added in Version 5.

## Defining Payment Settings
You can control how {{variable.customers}} pay for {{variable.products}} according to their {{variable.customer}} group.
#### Members
Product purchases by {{variable.members}} are **included in their next invoice by default**.
If you'd like {{variable.members}} to **pay for {{variable.products}} upfront**, you'll need toggle on **Always invoice products purchased by members as they are purchased** under the **Checkout** tab under {{variable.SignupSettings_Link}} on the {{variable.AdminPanel}}.

#### Contacts
{{variable.Contacts_CAP}} always pay for {{variable.products}} upfront.
#### Users Without an Account
If you want to let users without an account purchase {{variable.products}}, you'll need to [enable guest checkout](/v3/docs/guest-checkout-on-members-portal-5){target=`_blank`}.

Users without an account always pay for {{variable.products}} upfront.
## Publishing Products

{{variable.Products_CAP}} aren't available on the {{variable.MembersPortal}} by default.
You can easily publish any {{variable.product}} from the {{variable.AdminPanel}} by opening its record under {{variable.Products_Link}}. Under **Product details > Portal and apps**, toggle on **Display this plan on the website and the App**.

You should also make sure you've defined the following details for your {{variable.plan}}:
* **Product kind**: defines where the {{variable.plan}} is listed in the navigation
* **Plan description**: lets {{variable.customers}} see at a glance what the {{variable.plan}} offers
* **Product image**: lets {{variable.customers}} see what the {{variable.product}} is at a glance
* **The position to display this plan at**: defines the order in which {{variable.plans}} are displayed
Once you've published your {{variable.products}}, {{variable.customers}} can easily [purchase](/v3/docs/purchasing-products-on-the-members-portal){target=`_blank`} them from the {{variable.MembersPortal}}.
