Using Visitor Labels with NexIO

Article summary

Once a visitor checks in using NexIO, the app automatically searches for a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) printer to print a visitor label.

If NexIO manages to detect a BLE 4.0 printer nearby as they check in, a label that includes the visitor's name, company, arrival time, and host is automatically printed.

To print visitor labels, all you need is a portable printer that supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0). The BLE technology doesn't require any setup or pairing with Nexudus. You will need to set up the printer following the manufacturer's instructions for things such as adding paper rolls to the printer.

Star Micronics SM-L200 is an example of BLE 4.0 portable printer that would work with NexIO on iOS devices. You can use any portable printer brand and model as long as they support BLE 4.0.
