What are Access Control Systems
Access control systems are a safe and convenient way to remotely control who can access your space and use its amenities.
Door locks in your space are linked to the access control system in which you create access groups. Access groups define a selection of doors that customers can unlock if they are part of the group. Each access group you create should include all the doors customers need to unlock in order to access an area of your space or a specific resource.
Access groups are then linked to Nexudus items such as passes, desks, offices or resources. Customers are automatically added to the linked access groups when they purchase a pass, book a resource, or rent a desk.
Why Use an Access Control System
Access control systems can improve your space's operations in several ways:
Extending Your Opening Hours
Customers can access different areas of your space and unlock doors autonomously, including when you don't have staff physically in the space.
Increasing Security
Customers can only access areas and unlock doors if they're part of an access group that grants them these access rights.
Getting Accurate Occupancy Reports
Customers are checked in and out as they unlock doors in your space which improves the accuracy of occupancy reports of resources, desks, and offices.
Supported Access Control Integrations
Nexudus integrates with the following access control systems:
Choosing the Right Access Control Integration
Choosing the right access control integration for your space will depend on several factors such as:
- Your budget
- How you want your customers to unlock doors
- The country where your space operates
We recommend you read up on the available access control systems and get in touch with them to figure out which would work best for your space. You can also see our comparison tables below to get a better idea of what each access control system can and cannot do in Nexudus.
