# Geofencing Automation Tiles

You can easily geofence any of your automation tiles. Geofencing prevents {{variable.users}} from triggering the action linked to the tile if they aren't within a certain distance of the tile.

*For example, you may not want {{variable.customers}} to be able to unlock doors or check in while they aren't in your space by taking a picture of the tile and scanning its QR code.*

When geofencing is enabled in a tile's settings, the tile can only be used if the user reading it is near or within your space. You can define the center of that area along with its radius (how wide the circle around that center point is).

1. {{snippet.FirstStepProcedure}}
2. {{snippet.AutomationTiles_Path}}
3. {{variable.CLICK_ON}} the tile you want to geofence.
4. {{variable.CLICK_ON}} the **Restrictions** tab.

5. {{variable.TOGGLE_ON}} **Geo-fencing**.
6. Search your space's address using the **Search place** bar.
7. {{variable.DEFINE}} the tile's geofencing **Radius**.

:::(Info) (The **Radius** is based on the location you've defined in step 6.)
*If your location is '12 Chester House, SE5 J7K' and you set the tile's Radius to 2 meters, users will be able to trigger the tile's action up to 2 meters away from that location.*
:::

8. Define the geofencing **Precision**.
:::(warning) (**Precision** relies on each {{variable.user}}'s phone geolocation accuracy.)
The higher the precision level, the more accurate the user's geolocation must be for them to be able to trigger the tile action. Tiles placed indoors usually require a lower precision level because geolocation is hindered by building walls.
:::

9. {{snippet.Save_Changes}}

* * *
All set! Your tile is now geofenced.
