All the admin companion apps must be set up using an admin user. You can choose to use a full unrestricted admin user or create custom user role that you can then assign to admin users.
NexBoard
We recommend you create a dedicated admin user for NexBoard.
For security purposes, whenever admins reset their password, they're automatically logged out on all connected devices.
If an admin uses their own account to set up 10 tablets with NexBoard, this means repeating the NexBoard setup on each tablet every time they reset their password.
The admin account dedicated to NexBoard can be a full unrestricted admin user or an admin assigned a user role that includes the relevant permissions.
User Role
If you want to use a restricted admin for NexBoard, you need to create a custom role that includes the following permissions:
- AccessToken - All
- Booking - All
- Business - All
- Checkin - All
- Coworker - All
- RefreshToken - All
- Resource - All
Once you have the role for NexBoard, you can easily create a new admin user and assign it the NexBoard role you've just created.
NexDelivery
Whether or not you need a dedicated admin user for delivery will depend on how you process deliveries with the app.
If all your staff uses the same phone to record deliveries using the app, we recommend you create a dedicated admin user for NexDelivery.
If your staff uses different work or personal phones to record deliveries using the app, we recommend each of them use their own admin account. If your staff doesn't have full unrestricted admin rights, we still recommend you create a role for NexDelivery and assign it to all the admin users who process deliveries in your space. This will ensure that all admins processing deliveries have the necessary permissions by default.
User Role
If you want to use a restricted admin for NexDelivery, you need to create a custom role that includes the following permissions:
- Business - List, Read
- Coworker - All
- RefreshToken - All
- AccessToken - All
- CoworkerDelivery - All
- Report - All
Once you have the role for NexDelivery, you can easily create a new admin user and assign it the NexDelivery role you've just created. You can also assign the NexDelivery role to existing restricted admins if your staff uses their own devices to record deliveries through the app.
NexEvents
We recommend you create a dedicated admin user for NexEvents.
For security purposes, whenever admins reset their password, they're automatically logged out on all connected devices.
