# Registering as a Visitor with NexIO

Visitors who aren't registered by customers or administrators can still register on the spot through NexIO. They are automatically checked in as they register and their host is automatically notified of their arrival.

          Visitors are never added to access control groups.

          

They'll always need a customer or an admin with door access to unlock doors in your space.

1. Tap **Visitors**.
2. Tap **No**.
3. Fill out the details form.

1. Tap **Register**.

The visitor gets a confirmation message on the tablet. The customer designated as their host also receives an email notification about their arrival.
