Resources Check-in

Article Summary

Resource check-in is a feature that lets your space automatically cancel bookings if customers aren't checked in to the resource within the first 15 minutes of the booking.

You can easily enable this feature via Settings > Bookings and calendar settings.


Nexudus allows resource check-ins two ways:

Resource check-in is not linked to general check-in.

A customer checking in to a resource won't be added to the Who is in? page unless they also checked in using one of the supported check-in options.

Similarly, a customer who checked in by connecting to your space's Wi-Fi won't be checked in to the resource they booked unless they check-in on NexBoard or one of your admins checks them in via the Admin Panel.

Invoiced bookings are never cancelled.

Any tentative, confirmed or charged booking will be cancelled if the customer isn't checked in within the first 15 minutes of the booking.

Resource Check-in Via the Admin Panel

Any admin who can edit bookings can also check customers in to a resource.

  1. Log in to the Admin Panel if you aren't already.

  2. Click on the relevant booking.

  3. Click More actions.

  4. Select Start booking.

  5. Click Yes, do it to confirm.

The selected customer was successfully checked in to their booking. You don't need to check them out of the booking.

Resource Check-in Via NexBoard

Any customer with a booking can check in to the booked resource via the NexBoard tablet available by the resource.

The Check-in button appears on the screen at the start of the booking and remains on for 15 minutes.

Customers cannot check-in before their booking's start time.

If customers leave the resource prior to the end of their booking, they can tap the Terminate booking button and check out, making the resources available straight away.
