Integrating Paxton NET2

What you need to integrate Paxton NET2

You need a Paxton NET2 account and the following items to integrate.

  • Your Paxton NET2 username, password, server IP, and client ID

You can find these details in your Paxton NET2 account or ask your Paxton NET2 representative to get those details for you.

  • Passes, resources, and floor plan items in Nexudus

The integration works by connecting Paxton NET2 access groups to passes, resources, desks, and offices in Nexudus. You don't have to connect access groups to every single type of item in Nexudus. It is important to have these items set up in your space prior to the integration. If you still need to add items to your inventory, check out the following tutorials:

Integrating Paxton NET2

  1. Log in to dashboard.nexudus.com if you aren't already.

  2. Click Settings > Integrations > Paxton NET2.

  3. Toggle on the Paxton NET2 integration.

  4. Add the following details from your Paxton NET2 account:

    • Paxton NET2 username
    • Paxton NET2 password
    • Paxton NET2 Server ID
The format will usually be https://PUBLIC_IP:8443. You need to open and forward port 8443 to your local Paxton NET2 instance on your firewall.
    • Paxton NET2 Client ID
After installing your licence file, you should restart the Net2 Service to enable the Client ID. The name of the file is your ClientID which you'll use for authentication.
  5. Click the Save Changes button.

Several new sections should now be visible under the integration form. Each section is designed to let you match your Paxton NET2 access groups to the relevant passes, desks, offices, and resources in Nexudus.

Once you've mapped all the locks to the relevant Nexudus items, don't forget to save your changes.

All set! You can now add access cards to customers. We strongly recommend testing your access control integration with demo customers before going live.
