Limiting Visitor Registrations

Article Summary

You have two options to limit the number of visitors you allow in your space.

Plan Restrictions
Plan restrictions are a good option if all your customers are members. They effectively prevent members from registering new visitors once they meet a limit you define on the Admin Panel.

This option won't prevent contacts from registering as many visitors as they'd like.

Disabling Members Portal Feature
If your customer base is a combination of members and contacts, your main option to limit visitors is disabling visitor registration on the Members Portal.

This option prevents all customers from registering visitors on their own. Admins can still register visitors for them on the Admin Panel.

Limiting visitors Using Plan Restrictions

Plan restrictions can help you control how many visitors members can welcome in your space during a given amount of time. The visitor restrictions can be different for every plan and adapt to the different types of membership you offer in your space.

For example, members signed up to monthly plans can have up to 2 visitors per week, while members signed up to yearly plans can have up to 15 visitors per month.

Visitor restrictions are hard limits that even admins cannot override.

For example, if you try to register a visitor for one of you members and they already reached their weekly visitor cap, you won't be able to register a new visitor for them unless you remove the limit from the member's plan first.

This setup won't prevent contacts from registering as many visitors as they'd like.

If you want to prevent contacts from registering too many visitors as well, you should disable the visitor registration feature as detailed further down this article.

  1. Log in to dashboard.nexudus.com if you aren't already.

  2. Click Inventory > Plans.

  3. Click on the plan that you want to limit.

  4. Click on the Restrictions tab and scroll down to the the Visitor restrictions section.

  5. Define the visitor limit by selecting the Limit the number of visitors... option.

You'll usually only need to enable one option.

If you want to allow up to 8 visitors per month but no more than 2 within any given week, you don't need to define a weekly and a monthly restriction. Simply define a weekly restriction of 2.

  1. Define the maximum number of visitors you want to allow within the selected time frame.
Make sure your restrictions aren't conflicting if you define more than one.

For example, if you allow 5 visitors per week, your monthly limit cannot be above 20 (5 x 4 weeks).

  1. Click the Save Changes button.

You've successfully set a visitor limit for that plan. Repeat the process for all the applicable plans.

The restrictions immediately apply to all members signed up to the edited plans.

Disabling Visitor Registration on the Members Portal

You can also simply disable the option to register new visitors via the Members Portal.

None of your customers will be able to register visitors via the Members Portal if you disable this feature.

You will still be able to register visitors for them via the Admin Panel.

Customers will still be able to add guests/attendees to any of their bookings.
  1. Log in to dashboard.nexudus.com if you aren't already.

  2. Click Settings > Website.

  3. Click on the Features tab.

  4. Disable the Enable the visitor registration section toggle.
