Article summary

Message macros are message templates that you can use to automate some of your communication with customers. Your message can include dynamic tokens that let you pull data from your Nexudus account. Tokens match fields in Nexudus that are automatically populated based on who receives your message.

For example, if you add the {salutations} token to a message macro, Nexudus automatically replaces the token with the name of the customer receiving the message.

Message macros are available in all locations within your network, regardless of where you add them.

  1. Log in to dashboard.nexudus.com if you aren't already.

  2. Click CRM > Message macros.

  3. Click Add message macro.

  4. Add a Subject for your message macro.

Subject shows in customer inboxes.

You can edit it before sending your macros via messages or reminders.

  1. Select the Location where your message macro is available.

  2. Add your message in the Contents field, leaving blanks where you want to add Dynamic tokens.

All files you add to your message macro must be under message macro under 10MB.

This includes any file, such as images, PDFs, documents, or even gifs.

  1. Click where you want to add your first Dynamic tokens and then click on the token you want to include in the message.
  2. Repeat step 7 until you've added all the relevant Dynamic tokens.
  3. Click the Save Changes button.

You've successfully added a new message macro. We recommend testing your new message macros by sending a message to a test customer.
