What is PaperCut?
Our integration with PaperCut lets you track printing and charge it through Nexudus. This includes:
- Charging for prints and invoicing them
- Giving printing credits that customers can then use to print through PaperCut
- Manage free printing if you offer it
How the PaperCut integration works
You first need to purchase a PaperCut license and set up your printers.
Nexudus currently only intregrates with PaperCut MF and PaperCut NG.
The number of users to include in your PaperCut license depends on the number of customers you have in each location that'll use PaperCut.
For example, if you have 200 customers in a Nexudus location and you want them all to print using PaperCut, your PaperCut license must include at least 200 users.
Once you have a license and your printers set up in PaperCut, you can start the integration process.
The integration can automatically add new customers to PaperCut and charges them based on their printing using credits, pay-per-print or a combination of both. You can also choose to let your customers print for free.
FAQ
Can I use this integration with PaperCut Hive?
No, our integration currently works with PaperCut MF and PaperCut NG.
Can I use any printer with this integration?
Our integration works with any printer that PaperCut MF or NG supports. If your printers aren't supported by PaperCut MF or NG, it won't work with our integration.
How often does the extender sync with PaperCut?
The Nexudus extender automatically syncs with PaperCut every 15 minutes. This means that any new customer with printing access in Nexudus can take up to 15 minutes to sync in PaperCut. If new customers need to print straight away, you can always trigger a manual sync.
How long do you keep my PaperCut logs?
We keep logs of all syncs recorded in PaperCut in the last 30 days. We automatically delete any logs older than 30 days.
