Requesting Identity Checks

You can easily verify customer identities and addresses by requesting identity checks in the CRM section of the Admin Panel.

You can choose to verify a customer's identity through Stripe Identity or by manually reviewing their documents on the Admin Panel. Currently, you can only verify a customer's address by manually reviewing their documents.


  1. Log in to dashboard.nexudus.com if you aren't already.

  2. Go to CRM > Identity checks.
  3. Select Request identity check.
  4. Select the Customer whose identity you'd like to verify.
  5. Under Select type, select whether you'd like to request an Identity check only, and Address check only, or both an Address and Identity check.
  6. If you're requesting an address check, under Select how you would like to check proof of address, select Manual.
Currently you can only manually review address checks.
  1. Under Let your customers know which documents you accept as proof of address, list the documents you accept as proof of address.
Customers can only upload one document per request.

If you require multiple documents, you'll need to make a separate request for each one.

We'll save your instructions so you can simply click Reuse previous list next time.
  1. If you're requesting an identity check, under Select how you'd like to check proof of identity, select Manual or Stripe Identity.
You'll need to turn on the integration to use Stripe Identity.
  1. If you're requesting a manual identity check, under Let your customers know which documents you accept as proof of identity, list the documents you accept as proof of identity.
Customers can only upload one document per request.

If you require multiple documents, you'll need to make a separate request for each one.

  1. Click the Save Changes button.


All set! Your customer will receive an email with a link to complete their address and identity check.

If you requested an identity check through Stripe Identity, you don't need to action anything. Stripe will notify you when the identity check is complete.

If you requested a manual identity or address check, you'll receive an email when the customer has uploaded their documents. You can then review their documents on the Admin Panel.
