Square for NexKIOSK

Square for NexKIOSK is only available to US customers.

If you're located outside of the United States, you can use Zettle or Stripe instead.

Square only works in Epos mode.

If you want to use the app as an honesty bar (Kiosk mode) where customers can self-checkout and pay for their purchases by card, use Zettle or Stripe instead.

You can process card payments with Square on NexKIOSK. All you need is a Square account and a Square card reader to use this payment method. Visit Square's website for more information on how to create an account and get a card reader.

Unlike Zettle, Square works like a traditional till or cash register and requires the presence of a staff member to operate the card reader.

If you haven't enabled the Square integration in your Nexudus account yet, follow our integration tutorial before pairing your Square card reader to NexKIOSK.

  1. Open the NexKIOSK app on your tablet.

  2. Log in to the app using Nexudus admin credentials.

  3. Select your location.

  4. Tap on Epos.

  5. Tap on the menu icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.

  6. Tap on Settings.

  7. Tap on Square.

NexKIOSK automatically tries to pair with your Square reader. Once the pairing is done, NexKIOSK is connected to Square. We recommend you process a test purchase to make sure transactions are processed correctly both in Nexudus and Square.
