What is PS Form 1583?

PS Form 1583 is a postal consent form that gives permission for someone else to receive and handle your mail.

For example, a mailroom operator, or in this case a space offering virtual office services.

This form is legally required before any third-party can accept mail on a customer’s behalf in the United States.

How PS Form 1583 works

If your space is located in the United States, during virtual office onboarding, customers are asked to upload identity documents.

Depending on the type of document selected, different fields may need to be completed.

Once they upload their documents, Nexudus generates a pre-filled PS Form 1583 for each beneficiary. Customers can then edit the form before submitting it.

PS Form 1583 only appears during the onboarding process.

It must be edited before it is submitted.
