What are Document Templates?

Document templates are a way for you to generate custom documents that leverage data in your Nexudus account.

How Document Templates Work

Instead of manually editing documents such as contracts to include individual customer details, document templates let you automate the process by using merge fields. The merge fields in the templates automatically pull data from your Nexudus account and include the relevant details in the output document.

For example, you can set up a standard contract for private offices that includes merge fields such as the member's name, the contract start date, the plan's name, and the plan's price.

*Every time you send the contract template to a new customer, the relevant details automatically replace the merge fields in the document. *

Document Templates Formats

You can create document templates in the following formats:

  • HTML
  • RTF
  • Microsoft Word

Document templates using HTML and RTF output formats can be edited directly from the Document field.

HTML and RTF formats aren't compatible with merge fields.

Always select the Microsoft Word format if you want to use merge fields.

Document templates using the Microsoft Word output format can be edited in Nexudus through the integrated Template Editor. You also have the option to upload a Microsoft Word file to use as template.
