Article summary

What Is Two-factor Authentication?

Two-factor authentication is a quick and easy way to secure your Nexudus account. After logging in using their email and password, admins are asked to enter a code they receive on their phone before they can access the Admin Panel.

This additional step ensures only you can access your account and reduces the risk of your account being hacked.

How Two-factor Authentication Works

All you need to use two-factor authentication is an authenticator app on your phone. You can use any TOTP-based authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator that is available on iOS and Android.

Once you have the app on your phone, you can enable two factor authentication in your account in a few easy steps.

You cannot enable two-factor authentication in bulk.

Each admin must enable two-factor authentication from their own account.

FAQ

Can I enable two-factor authentication for a colleague?

No. Two factor authentication relies on connecting a user's device (usually their phone) to their admin account in Nexudus.

I don't have access to my phone and I can't log in without two-factor authentication, what do I do?

If you haven't added a backup device to your Authenticator app, you can get in touch with us at support@nexudus.com. We'll disable two-factor authentication for you and you'll be able to log in again.
We strongly recommend adding at least one backup device to your authenticator app to avoid this issue.
