Sending Messages on Members Portal 5

Customers can easily send each other direct messages on the Members Portal.

Message recipients must have a published directory profile to receive messages.

If customers know the name of the person they want to message, they can send the message directly from their mailbox. They can also send messages from another customer's directory profile.

Sending messages from the mailbox

Customers can send messages directly from their mailbox if they know the name of the person they'd like to contact.

  1. Log in to the Members Portal if you haven't already.

  2. Click the mailbox icon.

  1. Click Send a message.
  2. Under Send to, click Everyone in this group.
  3. Search the name of the person you'd like to message.
Can't find who you're looking for?

Your recipient must have a published directory profile for you to send them a direct message.

  1. Select the name of the person you'd like to message.
  2. Add the Subject of your message.
  3. Add your Message.
  4. Add Attachments if necessary.
You can add a maximum of 5 files of up to 10 MB each.
  1. Toggle on Instant delivery if you'd like your recipient to receive their message immediately.
  2. Click Start discussion.

All set! The message has been sent.

Customers will see a red badge on their mailbox icon when they receive a response or new message.

Sending messages from the directory

Customers can also message each other from their directory profiles.

  1. Log in to the Members Portal if you haven't already.

  2. Click Community.
  3. Select Directory.
  4. Click the envelope icon on the profile of the person you'd like to message.
  5. Add the Subject of your message.
  6. Add your Message.
  7. Add Attachments if necessary.
You can add a maximum of 5 files of up to 10 MB each.
  1. Toggle on Instant delivery if you'd like your recipient to receive their message immediately.
  2. Click Start discussion.

All set! The message has been sent.

Customers will see a red badge on their mailbox icon when they receive a response or new message.
