Setting up NexKIOSK

You can set up NexKIOSK in a few taps on an iOS or Android tablet.

Using NexKIOSK adds a fixed charge of $/£/€100 and a $/£/€25 charge per location to your monthly Nexudus subscription.

For example, if you enable and use NexKIOSK in two locations, you will be charged $/£/€150 per month.


What You Need to Set Up NexKIOSK

Tablet Requirements

You need at least one tablet meeting the requirements detailed below to use NexKIOSK. You can choose to set up several tablets with NexKIOSK if you want more than one point of sale in your space.

Screen size 

Tablet screens must be over 7 inches. We recommend displays between 9 and 12 inches for optimal display and ease of use. 

Wi-Fi

Tablets must connect to Wi-Fi to download and use the app. 

Bluetooth

Tablets must support Bluetooth 4.0 (also known as BLE) or above.

Access to the Apple Store or Google Play 

Tablets must have access to the Apple Store (iPad) or Google Play (Android tablets) to download the app.

Minimum OS Version 

Tablets must use a recent version of iOS or Android. You can easily find the minimum OS required for your tablets from the app's page on the App Store or Google Play. 

iPads

To find the minimum iPadOS required to use the app, find the app on the App Store and scroll down to the Information section.

To find the minimum Android version required to use the app, find the app on Google Play and click on the arrow icon next to About this app

An admin account with the relevant permissions

All admins who want to use NexKIOSK in ePOS mode must be full unrestricted admins or be restricted admins with a role that includes the following permisions:

  • AccessToken - All
  • Business - All
  • BusinessSetting - Read
  • Coworker - All
  • CoworkerBookingCredit - Read
  • CoworkerDiscountCode - All
  • CoworkerInvoice - All
  • CoworkerLedgerEntry - All
  • CoworkerProduct - All
  • DiscountCode - Read
  • Product - All
  • ProductExtraService - Read
  • ProductTimePass - Read
  • RefreshToken - All
  • ValidationRule - List, Read

Setting Up NexKIOSK

1. Enabling NexKIOSK on the Admin Panel

  1. If the navigation menu isn't visible, click the menu icon in the top left corner of the page.

  2. Click Settings > Companion apps > NexKIOSK.

  3. Enable the NexKiosk toggle.

  4. Enable the Let customers add products to their next bill when in Kisok mode toggle if you want customers to be able to add their purchases to their next bill when using the app on their own.

  5. Click Save settings.

2. Downloading NexKIOSK on Your Tablet

  1. Download the NexKIOSK app on your iOS or Android tablet.

  2. Open the NexKIOSK app.

  3. Log in using the full unrestricted admin credentials you created for the app.

  4. Select your space location.
    If you manage a network, make sure you select the right location.

You are redirected to the mode selection screen.

Select your mode by tapping on either one of the tiles and the app is ready to use!
